A single forged arm curled into a ring, set on a hammered backplate. It takes a hat by the crown so the brim keeps its shape, and it works just as well for a ball cap, a helmet or a coiled rope. Mounted by the door it gives a hat somewhere to live besides the kitchen table. Hand forged by N.J. Pawley in Cody, Wyoming on a 2 inch by 6 inch backplate, finished in linseed oil. Every one comes off the anvil a little different, so the hammer marks on the plate and the set of the ring vary from piece to piece. Part of the Cody Iron Works collection.
