Refund, Cancellation, Shipping and Pickup Policy
Ranch Route, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company
This Refund, Cancellation, Shipping and Pickup Policy governs issues related to products purchased through the Ranch Route marketplace platform. The Producer is the seller of record and is responsible for fulfilling this policy unless Ranch Route is expressly identified as the seller of record for a specific transaction.
Reporting Issues
If you receive an item that is missing, incorrect, damaged, thawed, spoiled, or otherwise unsafe, you must report it through the Platform within 48 hours of delivery or pickup.
To report an issue:
- Open the order in your account
- Use the report or contact feature to notify the seller and Ranch Route
- Include photos of the affected items and packaging
Failure to report within 48 hours may limit available remedies, though nothing in this policy limits any nonwaivable consumer rights you may have under applicable law.
Remedies for Verified Issues
For verified product issues reported within the 48-hour window, the seller will offer one of the following remedies:
- A full or partial refund to your original payment method
- Platform credit for use on future purchases
- A replacement of the affected items
The specific remedy offered is determined by the seller based on the nature of the issue and product availability, consistent with applicable law.
Refund Processing Time
Refunds to your original payment method typically take 5 to 10 business days to appear after the refund is issued.
Processing time depends on your bank or card issuer and is outside Ranch Route's control. Platform credits are applied immediately.
Cancellation Policy
Before Producer Acceptance:
Orders may be cancelled free of charge at any time before the Producer accepts the order.
After Producer Acceptance:
Cancellation is at the Producer's discretion unless applicable law or Ranch Route's minimum standards require otherwise. Producers may establish their own cancellation terms for accepted orders, which will be disclosed on the listing or at checkout.
Packaging, Cold Chain, and Carrier
The Producer is responsible for all packaging, cold chain management, and carrier selection for shipped items.
Producers must use appropriate packaging to maintain product integrity during transit, including insulated packaging and cold packs for perishable items where appropriate.
Ranch Route does not handle, store, or ship products and is not responsible for packaging failures, cold chain breaches, or carrier performance.
Title and Risk of Loss
Title and risk of loss pass to the Buyer upon delivery.
For shipped orders, delivery occurs when the package is delivered to the shipping address provided by the Buyer. For pickup orders, delivery occurs when the Buyer takes possession of the items at the designated pickup location.
Pickup Policy
Buyers must pick up orders within the stated pickup window communicated by the Producer.
Uncollected perishable items may be forfeited where lawful and where the forfeiture policy was disclosed to the Buyer at the time of purchase.
Producers are encouraged but not required to hold items beyond the stated window. Non-perishable items may be held for a reasonable additional period at the Producer's discretion.
Nonwaivable Consumer Rights
Nothing in this policy limits any nonwaivable consumer rights you may have under applicable federal, state, or local law.
If any provision of this policy conflicts with a nonwaivable consumer protection law applicable to your transaction, the consumer protection law controls.
