Ranch Route operates a community and marketplace platform at ranchroute.co. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our platform including the Marketplace, Partner Store, Story Board, and partner profiles. Ranch Route ("Ranch Route," "Company," "we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy.

This Privacy Policy is conjoined and applies to everyone — buyers, partners, producers, and all other users of the Platform. The same privacy protections apply to all accounts regardless of role.

We collect the following information:

  • Name and email address (required for account registration)
  • Location information (city, state — provided voluntarily in profiles and listings)
  • Messages sent through the Platform between buyers and sellers
  • Listing data, product descriptions, images, and profile information
  • IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited (via standard server logs)
  • Cookies for session management and basic analytics (see Cookie Policy below)

Information We Do NOT Collect

Ranch Route does not collect, store, or process:

  • Payment information (credit card numbers, bank account details)
  • Social Security numbers or government-issued identification numbers
  • Any financial account information beyond what is strictly necessary for marketplace operations

All payment arrangements occur directly between buyers and sellers outside the Platform.

We use your data to:

  • Operate the Platform and provide marketplace services
  • Connect buyers with sellers and facilitate communication
  • Send transactional emails (message notifications, reservation updates)
  • Improve and optimize the Platform experience
  • Send marketing emails — with opt-out available at any time

  • We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their marketing purposes.
  • We do not display third-party advertising on the Platform.
  • We do not use your personal data to make automated decisions that produce legal effects concerning you.

We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the Platform — including hosting providers, email delivery services, and analytics tools — and only to the extent necessary for them to perform their functions. These providers are contractually bound to protect your data.

Data Retention

  • Active accounts: We retain your account data as long as your account remains active.
  • Transaction records: We retain transaction-related records for 7 years for legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Inactive accounts: We will delete accounts after 2 years of inactivity, with 30 days advance notice by email.

Children's Privacy

Ranch Route does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected such data, we will delete it immediately. If you believe we may have data from a child under 13, contact us at privacy@ranchroute.co.
