Our Story
Real food starts with real people.
Ranch Route is a marketplace and community built for the farms doing things right.
“The farms doing things right are too often the ones struggling to be seen.”
I grew up in Barrington, Illinois. I watched farms that had been part of this community for generations slowly disappear — not because they were doing anything wrong, but because they couldn’t compete with the scale of an industry that stopped caring about the food a long time ago. Corporations bought up the land. Data centers replaced fields. And the farmers who were raising animals right, growing food the way it should be grown, were left with a booth at the Saturday market and a prayer that enough people showed up.
I built Ranch Route because I believe in real food from real people. Not a logo. Not a supply chain. Not a brand designed in a boardroom. The kind of food that comes with a name, a face, and a story behind it. Ranch Route exists to make that food easier to find — and to make sure the people growing it get the audience they’ve earned.

A Marketplace
Browse and reserve products directly from farms and ranches across the country. Beef shares, honey, eggs, produce, flowers, farm experiences — all from operations you can actually learn about before you buy.
A Platform for Stories
Every partner on Ranch Route has a full farm profile — their land, their animals, their practices, their family. Not a listing. A story. Because knowing where your food comes from starts with knowing who grows it.
A Community
Ranch Route isn't a race to the bottom on price or a feed optimized for clicks. It's a community built around authenticity — farms that are genuinely doing the work and buyers who care enough to find them.
OUR PARTNERS
We don’t list everyone. We list the right ones.
Ranch Route is selective by design. We’re not a directory. We’re not a search engine. Every farm and ranch on this platform was invited because they’re doing something worth sharing — raising their animals with intention, growing food without shortcuts, and building something that deserves to last. Our partners are farmers, ranchers, beekeepers, growers, and producers who believe the same thing we do: that the story behind the food matters just as much as the food itself.

Farm to farm. Ranch to ranch. Across America.
Ranch Route started local — Barrington, Illinois, the farms I grew up around. But the mission was never just local. Small farms are fighting the same fight in every state, in every county, on every road that still has a fence post and a family name on the mailbox. Ranch Route is going to find them.
This summer, we’re hitting the road — truck camper, camera, and a list of farms that deserve to be heard. Every stop is a farm visit, a conversation, a filmed story that gets shared with an audience that’s actively looking for this. The road trip is the go-to-market. The farms we meet become the community we’re building.
